A trustee since 2007, Asfari is the Group Chief Executive of Petrofac Limited. He has led the growth of Petrofac from a small US-based engineering business to a FTSE 250 multinational company employing more than 12,000 employees worldwide. He previously worked as managing director of a major civil and mechanical construction business in Oman. He is a graduate of Villanova University (BS civil engineering ’78) and the University of Pennsylvania (MS civil and urban engineering ’80). He is Chairman of the Asfari Foundation and sits on the advisory boards of Chatham House and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
