A trustee since 2007 and emerita since 2017, Bellamy is the chair of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF). Formerly, she chaired the UNWTO World Tourism Network on Child Protection and the Global Partnership for Education. She has served as executive director of UNICEF, director of the Peace Corps, and as a member of the board of Innovative Finance. The first woman to hold citywide office in New York City, Bellamy held elective public office for 13 years, including serving as a New York State senator and as president of the New York City Council. Her early career in law and investment banking included work at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Morgan Stanley. She is a graduate of Gettysburg College (AB ’63) and New York University (JD ’68).
