A trustee since 2014, and a former AUB student (1977-79), Habayeb is president and CEO of General Electric’s Middle East, North Africa and Turkey region. He is the founding member of the Arabian Gulf States Institute, a Washington, DC-based think tank; and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Forum for Environment and Development. He has served as a trustee of Balamand University; on the Board of Mubadala Infrastructure Partners Limited, and on the board of directors of the US Saudi Arabian Business Council. Habayeb is a graduate of Syracuse University (BS mechanical engineering ’80; MS mechanical engineering ’82).
